Maximal Alumina Solubility

After you have selected Maximum Alumina Solubility from the drop down window of the Property Combo AlPrg shows the dependence of the alumina solubility on the electrolyte composition and the bath temperature. In the next figure the -icon graph is selected and consequently the property diagram shows how the alumina solubility changes with the aluminum fluoride content in the electrolyte.

Maximal Alumina Solubility

The next figure shows the property diagram maximum alumina solubility versus aluminum oxide concentration. The solubility depends on the alumina concentration because its influence on the liquidus temperature and the bath temperature. In the figure you see the value line after the alumina concentration has been dragged to 4 % compared to 2.5 % of the figure above.

The grey regions are restricted areas because the aluminum oxide content in the electrolyte is limited by anode effect concentration and the maximum solubility value.
